The what, why and how of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)

The ‘bottom line’ is that people come from all walks of life, with an age range of 19 to 73 and all really come along for the same things ~ personal development and a desire to achieve the best they can with the tools Neuro Linguisitc Programming (NLP) provides.

Psychology Today magazine described NLP as “the most powerful vehicle for change in existence” and as the only constant in life is change, doesn’t it make sense to equip yourself with the wide range of skills and the presuppositions of NLP so that change doesn’t manage you, rather you manage change? Now, where do you want to go?

Co-Developer Richard Bandler described NLP thus: “NLP is an attitude based on curiosity about people and an approach to others that considers each experience a rare and unprecedented opportunity to learn; it is methodology…a way of thinking about and studying people and the process of communication; it is a technology…a range of specific techniques that allows you to organise your perceptions and behaviour to get well-defined and ecological results.”
The 204 page Training Changes NLP Practitioner Manual is divided into 3 sections based on the above:
NLP ATTITUDE
NLP METHODOLOGY
NLP TECHNOLOGY

And, as Arthur C Clarke wrote: “Any sufficiently developed technology is indistinguishable from magic.”
Or as Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes put it:
“I see no more than you, but I have trained myself to notice what I see.”
